Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the need for «more close cooperation» between China, Russia, and India while speaking at a trilateral meeting alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modi on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Buenos Aires on Friday.
«Nowadays the world is facing new risks and challenges. That is why common development and more close... Еще cooperation between our three countries against this background is becoming increasingly important to secure global stability,» the Chinese president said.
Putin agreed and emphasized that «the developments in our region, in Eurasia, require more close alignment of approaches of the three countries.»
While Modi said «Such meetings should be held on the sidelines of international forums on a more regular basis. The call of the hour is for the three of us to join hands and to do our duties in the world, and through our relations, to ensure progress and development.»
It is the first time the leaders have held a trilateral meeting since 2006 in Saint Petersburg.
