Argentina: Water cannons blasted as missing human rights activist turns violent

Police blasted water cannons at protesters at Plaza de Mayo in Buenos Aires, Friday, as a mass demonstration to pressure the government into releasing the whereabouts of missing human rights activist Santiago Maldonado turned violent. Protesters knocked down police barriers and set fire to them, as well as throwing stones and other items at police forces. Police responded by evacuating the area... Еще with the use of rubber bullets. Activist Santiago Maldonado went missing during an indigenous-rights protest a month ago. Many protesters blame his disappearance on the government and the Argentine Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich in particular.
