Protesters gathered in front of the Casa Rosada Government House in Buenos Aires on Labour Day, Friday, as they demanded help from the government amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Protesters, most of them members of the Polo Obrero (Worker Pole) group, held banners reading «If we pay the foreign debt we don't eat» and «Pay emergency family income [IFE] now without exclusions,» as they denounced the... Еще lack of financial aid that had been promised by the government.
Eduardo Belliboni, Polo Obrero spokesman explained that «the family's emergency income of 10,000 pesos (370,90 Euro) that the government announced never arrived.»
«For 20 days food has not been delivered to the soup kitchens,» he added.
As of Friday, Argentina has reported 4,532 coronavirus cases and 225 deaths related to the virus, as the latest data compiled by Johns Hopkins University shows.
