Two new sections of graves for people who have died with COVID-19 have been dug up at the Chacarita and Flores cemeteries of Buenos Aires, as seen in drone footage from Saturday. Over 100 people have reportedly died with the virus over the weekend.
Dozens of open graves can be seen ready for burials to take place throughout the week. Small numbered families were also seen laying their loved ones to rest, accompanied by gravediggers in hazmat suits.
Argentina has reported over 158,000 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, according to Johns Hopkins University, while over 2,800 have died with the virus.
