Argentinian President Mauricio Macri welcomed US President Donald Trump in Buenos Aires on Friday, for a bilateral meeting ahead of the official start of the 2018 G20 Summit, the first-ever G20 summit to be hosted in South America.

Trump on his part addressed his long-standing friendship with Macri saying, «We knew each other very well. I actually did business with his family, with his father, a great friend of mine.»
The Group of 20 Summit sees governments and representatives of the world's 19 major economies as well as top representatives of the European Union meet and discuss strategies for fiscal policy and international financial stability.
