Argentina: Lagarde talks trade as G20 FMs meeting kicks off in Buenos Aires

The Argentina meeting of the Group of 20 (G20) finance ministers will focus on the «direct impact of various trade restrictions,» managing director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde stated during her opening speech in Buenos Aires on Saturday. «We are not speculating on what could come next, we are not either speculating extensively on the confidence effect, because it needs... Еще to be very granular and it needs to go deep into the supply chains that have been formed over the years,» Lagarde said. During the two-day meeting, 23 finance ministers, 14 presidents of central banks and 10 holders of international organisations will discuss risks and opportunities for the global economy, as well as the infrastructure necessary for future development.
