A judge in Argentina has accused former President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner of covering up Iranian involvement in the 1994 bombing of a Jewish cultural centre in Buenos Aires, on Thursday. Footage shows the former legal secretary to the ex-president Carlos Zannini and political activist Luis D’Elia attending a hearing at the federal court in Comodoro. Iranian lobbyist Yussuf Khalil was also... Еще detained at his home in Buenos Aires. Judge Claudio Bonadio accused the Fernandez of seeking to obtain trade concessions with Iran in return for concealing their part in the attack on the Israeli-Argentine Mutual Association (AMIA). Bonadio is leading the investigation in the deadliest bomb attack in Argentina’s history, which left 85 people dead and hundreds more wounded. As a newly sworn-in senator, Fernandez enjoys parliamentary immunity from prosecution. The senate would have to vote by a two-thirds majority to lift her immunity.
