Students, and other concerned people, took to the streets of Buenos Aires on Friday as part of the global wave of Black Friday climate strikes.
Protesters stood in the roads chanting slogans, while holding signs decrying the consumerism of Black Friday and calling for action on climate change.
«The land cannot support the level of consumption and extraction of resources that we are carrying... Еще forward and neither the climate. Nor can the atmosphere withstand the amount of greenhouse gas emissions or equivalent carbon we are generating,» said Juan Bello, a Extinction Rebellion protester.
Climate change activist groups such as 'Fridays for Future' and 'Youth for climate' have called for a global wave of strikes to coincide with the Black Friday shopping event, ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP25) which kicks off in Madrid on Monday.
