Afghanistan: Vice-Pres candidate injured as Kabul bomb attack kills 2, injures 25

Amrullah Saleh, a Vice-Presidential candidate in the upcoming September 28 elections, was injured in a bombing attack that killed two and injured at least 25 in Kabul on Sunday. The attack took place near the headquarters of 'Afghanistan Green Trend' a political party founded by Saleh, who is running as Vice-President alongside incumbent Afghan President Ashraf Ghani. After the blast, gunmen... Еще entered the building and targeted the VP candidate. He was wounded by shrapnel from the bomb but was safely evacuated by military forces. Many families were trapped in their houses during the attack and had to be rescued by Afghan soldiers, the injured were escorted to waiting ambulances. The attack is the latest in a number of violent outbreaks which have recently rocked the Middle Eastern state, 10 people were killed after a suicide bomber attacked Kabul University and three were killed after Taliban gunmen launched an assault on a government building.
