At least one boy was killed and five other people were wounded in a double bombing outside two girls' school in the Afghan city of Jalalabad on Tuesday. The first explosion happened in front of Malika Omaira girls' school. The second bomb went off shortly afterwards as locals and students gathered in the area. «I went out of home to see what had happened after an explosion near the school, I... Еще saw many boys there, at that time the second bomb exploded,» said Elyas, a 12 years old boy who was wounded in the attack. An hour earlier, another bomb exploded outside Biba Hawa girls' school in nearby Behsood district. No group has claimed the attacks yet, however the area of Jalalabad is believed to have strong presence of Taliban and Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) militias. Both groups oppose female education. All schools in Jalalabad and its district have been closed. Schools in the area had been closed until today amid security concerns.
