Relatives of eighteen people killed at a funeral suicide attack in Jalalabad returned to the graveside on Monday to bury their loved-ones. Carrying their coffins to the graves under visible emotional distress, some spoke of their loss. One brother of a person killed in the funeral attack said: «We fled our village to come to Jalalabad city. We thought that we would be relaxed here but... Еще, unfortunately here is not safe from everything. Our funeral, our homes, our children are not safe here.» Eighteen people died and at least 14 others were injured when a man detonated a suicide bomb device during a funeral on December 31. The so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) said it carried out the attack, media reports.
