Afghan guards reportedly opened fire on a high-profile meeting in Kandahar which included NATO and US forces commander in Afghanistan Austin S. Miller and Kandahar's governor Zalmay Wesa, killing Wesa along with police chief General Abdul Raziq and a local NDS chief. Two US troops were also reportedly wounded in the process.
