Afghanistan: At least 57 killed in Kabul voter centre suicide blast

The death toll rose to 57 after a suicide blast hit a voter registration centre in the Afghan capital of Kabul on Sunday, officials say. Head of the hospital Muhammad Saber Naseeb confirmed that, «approximately 54 were wounded including children, women and men, [they] have been shifted to Isteqlal Hospital.» The explosion occurred at around 10:00 local time (05:30 GMT) in the Dasht-e-Barchi... Еще district of western Kabul. People had reportedly been lining up outside the voting centre waiting to register for the upcoming legislative elections when the blast went off. According to reports, the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the attack.
