A marathon-running great-grandmother spoke about her dream to conquer the Aconcagua Mountain at the ripe-old age of 83, in Buenos Aires on Thursday. Elena Forti, who has already crossed the Andes twice, will seek to climb the highest peak in South America, the Aconcagua. The mountain, which is 6,962 metres (22841ft) in height, is the tallest mountain outside of Asia. Forti was born in Italy... Еще but moved with her family to Argentina when she was 14 years old. She has a large family with five children, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all somewhat supportive of her antics. She has practiced sports her entire life and old age has not impeded her from competing in races across Argentina. At the age of 73, she surprised everyone by running 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) in Tandil and in 2013, 2015 and 2016 she faced her biggest challenge, crossing the Andes mountain range.
