Pastry chef Dinara Kasko creates desserts which look like pieces of contemporary art. She gave Ruptly a tour around her atelier in Kharkov on Friday. Using computer modelling and 3D printing technology, the 28-year-old patisserie’s geometric desserts reach their tasty form through silicone moulds. “For each form we use a separate computer program which help us to create it”, Kasko explained... Despite the innovative architectural characteristics of her desserts, she confesses that most of the ingredients are quite regular and “can be bought in a regular supermarket — eggs, flour, sugar, cream, milk”. However she “carefully chooses the sorts of chocolate” for her cakes. Her artistic cakes and the futuristic production method have gained recognition not only in her home country Ukraine, but also in many European countries, Asia, the US and Russia.
