2,000 come out for Kfar Saba’s first ever Gay Pride after legal tussle

Around 2,000 people attended the first ever Gay Pride parade held in the central Israeli town of Kfar Saba on Friday. The parade was held after months of tensions between organisers and local authorities. The police’s attempts to impose restrictions on the event caused organisers to refer to Israel’s Supreme Court, after which police withdrew their initial demands.
